Oxygen (French: Oxygène) is a 2021 French-language science fiction thriller film directed and produced by Alexandre Aja, from a screenplay by Christie LeBlanc. As part of an American-French co-production, it stars Mélanie Laurent, Mathieu Amalric and Malik Zidi. The film was released by Netflix on May 12, 2021.

A young woman awakens in a medical cryo unit where she does not remember how she ended here. She is assisted by an advanced AI named Milo but does not provide her full control since she requires admin code. At first she is able to contact the emergency services which inform her that the facility has been destroyed 3 years prior. Unable to recall her memories, she looks for clues about her past by searching for pictures and articles through the AI computer and finds her name, Elizabeth Hansen, where she realizes she is a cryogenic doctor. She finds her husband, Leo Ferguson, and his contact number which she calls but an unknown voice refuses to speak.

As the oxygen level decreases, she begins hallucinating and tries to open the pod only to be electrocuted. She then receives a call back from the police but suspects they are hiding something from her and disconnects. The unknown voice calls again but Elizabeth threatens to hang up and insists she has the admin code to open the pod. After a brief explanation, it is revealed that she has been in hypersleep for 12 years in a space mission for the survival of a group of humans to colonize a new planet since mankind will be extinct in the near future due to a virus.
